ADVENTURE

Daily activities include swimming, boating, hiking, sports, crafts, group games, cooking, and archery. Special offerings vary each year and have included dancing, drama, leather work, painting, and ceramics. The weeks are punctuated by special events and celebrations, including skit performances, Fair Day, Adventure Course, Silent Dinner and other special meals, a talent show, and a bonfire on the last night.

CAMP RHYTHM

Camp is grounded in a reliable daily rhythm that starts with a hot breakfast altogether, then a daily assembly of the whole camp whole camp, in which singing, storytelling, as well as the speaking of prayers and verses unite us together as a community. After morning activities, lunch and rest time give way to a full afternoon. Evening brings us back together at the end of every day for another camp assembly where evening songs and an evening story set a reverent mood for sleep. Campers return to their cabins or tents with their counselors for a campfire under the stars then settle into bed for the night.

THE FACILITIES

Sleeping accommodations include sturdy 6-8 person platform tents as well as wooden cabins to call home for these two weeks. Every camper has a bed frame and a foam mattress to sleep on. There are some flush toilets, some composting toilets, and hot showers as needed. We have a beautiful commercial kitchen, open fields for games, a well-stocked craft room, a pristine lake for swimming and boating, and an infirmary, where medical needs are addressed by Family Practice physician who is on-site throughout the duration.
